For owners and fractional CFOs

Spend CFO hours on decisions, not spreadsheets.

  • We build your numbers by location from your books, payroll and operating systems, then run them every month.
  • Owners pay CFO rates for advice, not for assembling reports.
  • Fractional CFOs take on more clients without more spreadsheet hours.
  • Your chart of accounts
  • Same definitions every month
  • The math behind every figure

For owners

Pay for advice, not assembly.

At $5-10 million in revenue, a fractional CFO typically costs $5,000-$10,000 a month (EightX, 2026). Much of the early work is pulling clean numbers by location out of separate systems. We build that once and run it every month for a fixed fee, so the CFO hours you buy go to decisions.

What we run every month

  • Profit and loss by location, against last month, last year and budget.
  • Labor cost as a share of sales, by location.
  • Operating numbers from the systems you run: visits, appointments, tickets or hours.
  • The same definitions every month, with the math behind each figure.
  • Add a 13-week cash forecast, updated daily, for your CFO to work from.

What your CFO keeps

  • Budgets, and every call on cash.
  • Conversations with your bank, lenders and investors.
  • Pricing, hiring and expansion decisions.
  • What goes to your board.
For fractional CFOs

More clients, fewer spreadsheet hours.

You keep the client and the advice. We connect each client's books, payroll and operating systems, map them to one chart of accounts, and deliver the monthly package on their close calendar for you to review.

What we do

  • Connect the books, whether QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or another system, plus payroll and booking or point-of-sale systems.
  • Map every entity, and each new add-on, to one chart of accounts.
  • Deliver the package each month, checked against the books.
  • Fix the feeds when a client's system changes.

What you keep

  • The client relationship.
  • Review of each package before your client sees it.
  • Advice, budgets, the calls on cash and lender conversations.
  • The hours you used to spend building reports.

PE-backed clients get the sponsor package, with covenant calculations and the Adjusted EBITDA bridge. This season, clients with hourly or tipped staff can add the W-2 overtime and tips check.

How the numbers are made

Numbers you can check.

Written rules

Every figure's definition is written down and approved before the first month.

Same data, same numbers

Run it twice and you get the same package. A figure changes only when the data behind it does.

Traceable

Every figure traces back to the source entries behind it.

No AI in the math

Code calculates every figure. AI never sets a number.

In production

Built by people who close the month.

We produce this package every month for a PE-backed, multi-location group. It runs on the same pipelines behind our morning brief and Data Engine.

Questions

Are you a fractional CFO firm?

No. We build and run reporting, and tools such as a 13-week cash forecast. Advice, budgets, the calls on cash, and lender and investor relationships stay with your CFO.

Which systems do you work with?

For the books, QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct or any other accounting system: through its API where it has one, from exports where it doesn't. Then the payroll provider you use, and booking or point-of-sale systems where their terms allow a copy.

How does a fractional CFO start with you?

With one client. You tell us what the package needs, we build it, and you review it each month before it goes to the client.

Is this accounting or legal advice?

No. We assemble and check the figures. The CFO and your advisors own what goes to lenders and investors.

What does it cost?

A fixed monthly fee, quoted after a short call, based on how many entities, locations and systems there are.
